Pursuit Porn: LDG Pursuit Mk1

I am not sure this really classifies as a pursuit bike since the wheels are both 700c and the top tube barely slopes, but it has that funny bike look all the same. I am more excited about the Livery Pursuit MK2, which is coming soon; but how soon?

Thanks to Scott for sending in these photos of his ride.

Tiny wheelbase, that thing must handle tight!

This is such a copy of that golden leader I rode a long time ago. Funny… (no pun intended)

    Yeah! Huge rip off!
It’s exactly the same, minus the triple triangle.

And I’m pretty sure pursuit bikes can have double 700c.
My KHS is really pursuit with 700s.
And your Davidson was pursuit with a flat top tube.
    But with a 650 front.

Basically the opening sentence is shit.

    exactly the same… yet different.

Ricker, you bring up an interesting point about the bike being pursuit, but you are trying to compare a bike that was made to appear pursuit (the LDG geometry is more relaxed than a pursuit bike) and two other completely different bikes. This LDG bike was meant to be ridden on on the street, not in pursuit races, so I believe my statement holds true and is not compete “shit”. When it all boils down pursuit bikes have much more aggressive geometry and more often than not have a 650c wheel up front. Some would even argue the KHS isn’t even a true pursuit, since it is just a track bike with a sloping top tube.

Any bike can be labeled pursuit, but unless it is made for pursuit racing, then it really isn’t a true pursuit bike in my eyes.

    Yeah, I understand.
I was just giving you some shit! :)

I would say the bar to seat ratio is what it comes down to.
I forget what company made that pink bike of yours.
    But that thing is nuts!
Low bar, to seat ratio. and 650c front!

My KHS is pretty pursuit to most double 700c track bikes.

No matter what riding something in the street changes the intention of the older frames out there.

And this LDG is far from cool, or pursuit. :)

The Mk2 is going to be way better and look less like a soggy noodle.

dude I’m stumped. the mk2, mash/cinelli 2011, or infinity lopro. I cant decide what frame i want for a fast bike. suggestions?

  9. Zach Bossington

thats a tough call. I wouldn’t mind seeing how the Mk2 turns out.

  10. tanner

ya ldg is suck a sick company… love all their stuff. seems like a cheaper option than the 2011 mash. kinda dont want to spend a grand on a frame too… but the mk2 is 700 without a fork

  11. Nate LDG

Hey Tanner. The price of our Pursuit MK2 frame will include a matching fork. We haven’t had a chance to put pictures of the matching fork up online yet, but the pictures will likely be posted to our site this week and the frameset will officially be available for purchase. We have all of the frames and forks now organized and ready to ship in our warehouse as of this past weekend. We are ramping up to release a lot of new product this month. Thanks for the support!
