Fixed Gear London Jacket

I’ve had my eye on the Fixed Gear London waterproof jacket for a while now. It is definitely something worth picking up for the rainy season, which is every season here in Seattle.

Photos from Mikey. Jacket can be found in store at 14bikeco.

Cadence for Lifetime arrives

This collaboration is one of the first things I posted about back in June. Looks like they finally hit stores. I’ll definitely be getting one of them. Go find your local lifetime supplier and snag one or get one online here. As far as Seattle goes, I know that Snowboard Connection has a couple of the black ones.

This is what lifetime says about Cadence:

“Cadence is a creative project of artist Dustin Klein, creating thought-evoking goods from the ground up. All production is executed with specific and unconventional techniques that result in variants between pieces. These techniques are completed in small, detail-oriented runs.

Cadence is constantly taking steps towards increasing sustainability and lessening its impact on the environment through recycled materials, 100 per cent organic tees, and joining ‘1% for the planet’.

Influenced by cycling, the many perceptions of life and an insatiable desire to create, Cadence was established in 2003, and is intentionally kept as a small creative project of one person, believing that growth is not a necessary means of success.
From the road for the road. North America, USA. “

Martin of San Francisco

Mike Martin (MASH sf) has a new cycling inspired clothing line. Here is a little blurb about the brand:

“Hello,

We are Martin of San Francisco. After a decade of collaborative work with Nice Collective, we have produced an imaginative synthesis of modern cycling culture and photographic aesthetic. Clean lines, simple ideas, and thoughtful execution has brought these two worlds together in our new line of apparel.

Family is our foundation and friends our inspiration. Martin welcomes collective interaction and is excited to share “our” like-minded vision.

-Michael Martin”

Needless to say, I cannot wait.

The STANDBY by Duncan

Duncan Lewis formerly lived in Vancouver, Canada (Seattle’s neighbor to the north) and now resides in Montreal. Since moving to Montreal and messengering in -35 degree winter weather he has been inspired to start up a cycling based clothing line. Here is a look at his first product “The Standby”. The Standby is a hooded sweater with features specifically designed for people who spend all day on their bikes. Each one is hand made by Duncan and his wife (a fashion designer) out of quality materials. Each one is individually checked and numbered. They will retail for $140.

if anyone is intrested please contact Duncan by email.
